The programme PRISM, the Valais Film Association and the Valais Film Commission are organising a round-table discussion about collaborations between Valais-based companies and film productions. The event will be held on May 4th at 5pm, at Studio13 in Sion.
When a film production comes to a region, it relies on a wide range of services beyond the film industry itself. It creates collaboration opportunities for SMEs and local freelancers, especially in the fields of accommodation, catering, transportation, equipment rental, set construction or security services.
Beyond these services, other forms of collaboration are possible. Some companies can partner with productions through sponsoring or product placement, depending on the projects and the crew’s special needs. These partnerships offer complementary prospects, especially in terms of visibility.
The round-table discussion will address these opportunities and will provide a better understanding of the needs of the film crew as well as the conditions that facilitate their collaboration with local companies. Several panellists will share their collaboration experience: Fabrice Haenni, CEO of Distillerie Morand, Xavier Bianco, head of communication and marketing at the HES-SO Valais, Jean-Marie Gindraux, production manager and Jonathan Platter, head of communication and marketing at Anzère tourism.
Organised at Studio13, the event will be an opportunity to discover this audiovisual creation hub in Valais. Equipped with two film sets and technical facilities, it can host a wide range of productions, from feature films to documentaries, as well as advertising and photography.
A real economic impact for the territory
Hosting audiovisual productions is also an economic asset for the Canton. In 2025, Valais recorded 77 filming days, which generated more than CHF 400,000 in local spending, especially in accommodation, catering, transportation and services.
