Former winners and finalists of the Prix Créateurs BCVs have elected Elma Vision as the winner of the Prix Coup de Coeur des anciens finalistes 2025 (Heart-stopper’s prize of the previous finalists). Along with a CHF 5,000 grant, this distinction was awarded on Friday, 26 September during a ceremony held in the Innothèque area of the Foire du Valais. The young Martigny-based enterprise, which develops glasses to improve the vision of people with Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), joins the 2025 list of the Prix Créateurs BCVs winners, alongside Coloc Atelier. The latter was awarded in June for its furniture made from recycled plastic. Throughout the Foire du Valais, some of the 2025 finalists will be presenting their innovations to the public.
Last June, former winners and finalists of the Prix Créateurs BCVs, voted for their laureate among the five 2025 finalists. For the record, the finalists were: Digital Logic (developers of a tool to keep track of one’s electricity consumption); Coloc Atelier (creators of recycled furniture); Aristotes (designers of a smart educational platform); KaffeeKlatsch (makers of sourdough bread distributed by a connected vending machine); and Elma Vision. The jury was seduced by the latter. The prize, of CHF 5,000 cash, was awarded by Boris Héritier, co-founder of TexUp and last year’s winner.
Elma Vision is a Martigny-based start-up that has developed a pair of technological glasses to help people suffering from AMD. The device uses a high-definition camera, a progressive algorithm and a built-in screen to process and improve the image, desplaying it directly on the healthy part of the patient’s eye. Ultimately, patients benefit from increased autonomy and therefore from a better quality of life.
Projects to discover at the Innothèque area
As in the previous years, most of the finalists will be present in the Innothèque area throughout the Foire du Valais. Organised by the Banque Cantonale du Valais, this exhibition gives the public the opportunity to discover these promising innovations.
The 17th edition of the Prix Créateurs will be launched in January.
