Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest 2024: applications are open!

To highlight the best Swiss start-ups active in the field of intelligent energy use: this is the objective of the second edition of the Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest. This event will be organized on August 30, within the framework of the 14th edition of the Smart Energy Event, on the Energypolis Campus in Sion. Applications to participate in this pitch are now open. Interested start-ups can register now on the website. CHF 9’000 are to be won!

A jury will select a dozen start-ups, which will present their innovations in a few minutes in front of the participants of the Smart Energy Event. Three companies will be rewarded (best idea, best pitch and public prize) and will leave with a total prize of CHF 3,000. To participate, interested start-ups must have been founded after 2014 and be active in the energy sector. They can submit their application free of charge before June 7th, 2024.

At the first Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest in August 2023, Clemap (Zurich), Beyond Scroll (Lausanne) and Urbio (Sion) were awarded prizes by the jury and the public. A panel of 10 start-ups presented themselves to the 180 participants at the Smart Energy Event.

On the sidelines of the Smart Energy Event

This event, which aims to highlight the richness of the Swiss economic fabric, is organized by The Ark Foundation and CleantechAlps, with the support of the HES-SO Wallis, FMV, Siemens, OIKEN, Electrosuisse, l’EPFL and Venturelab. It is organized in conjunction with the Smart Energy Event (August 29-30), a reference event in the field of intelligent energy management since 2011. This year’s event will focus on the interdependencies generated by energy and how to find independence at all levels.
