The finalists that will receive the most votes from the public will then be invited to pitch during the prize giving ceremony, where the audience will vote live to elect the “Top100 Newcomer of the Year 2026”.
Evolium Technologies, a practical solution to the battery challenge
Based on the Energypolis Campus in Sion and supported by The Ark Foundation, Evolium Technologies tackles one of the most concrete problems of energy transition: battery recycling.
The start-up developed an upcycling method, which extracts – using a specially designed robot –still-functional battery cell. These cells are then reused as components of new systems of energy storage, repairable and modular, for photovoltaic systems. Rather than wasting precious resources, Evolium Technologies gives them a useful second life.
