The company AISA Automation Industrielle SA, based in Vouvry, has established itself as a global leader in the design of machines for the production of packaging tubes. Strengthen by a team of more than 260 employees and a four-generation tradition of innovation, this family-owned SME, funded in 1962, works on state-of-the-art technology and sustainability to expand into international markets. Hugues-Vincent Roy, CEO of AISA, gave an interview to Switzerland Global Enterprises (S-GE), the platform that supports Swiss companies in the export, and that is partner to Economic Promotion Valais.
AISA designs, develops and markets machines for the production of packaging tubes for the cosmetics, oral care, pharmaceutical and food industries. “AISA aims to sustainably strengthen its role as a pioneer and global leader in the design of packaging tube manufacturing solutions”, says Hugues-Vincent Roy. This vision is based on accelerating technological innovation and reducing the environmental impact. “AISA stands out through its strong culture of innovation in tube production using environmentally friendly materials such as mono-materials, post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR) and paper.”
Advanced technologies to optimise production
Artificial intelligence and automation play a key role in AISA’s developments. The integration of these advanced technologies enables self-adjusting machines and automated quality control, which help optimise performances and ensure consistently high quality.
Hugues-Vincent Roy is particularly proud of a recent innovation. “We are proud to offer a unique end-of-life solution for products manufactured on our machines: a recycling and processing system for complex plastic waste that can directly produce components from multi-materials without prior sorting, fully aligned with the principles of circular economy.”
This machine, named IPRA, enables the recovery of multi-material plastic waste that is traditionally difficult to recycle, such as toothpaste tubes or composite packaging, transforming them into useful products such as vineyard stakes, signage posts or garden furniture.
A valuable support for export
To support its international development, AISA collaborates with Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE). “AISA benefits from valuable support for its export activities in an increasingly complex and dynamic international regulatory environment”, highlights Hugues-Vincent Roy. Participation in the Swiss Pavilions at international trade fairs is a major asset to strengthen the Valais-based company’s international visibility.
